Singapore – The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore has announced new appointments across its Food & Beverage and Sales teams as well as the appointment of Renato De Oliveria as Hotel Manager.
In his capacity as Hotel Manager, De Oliveria is responsible for the management and operations of the hotel’s 608 guest rooms and suites. He oversees the entire Rooms Division comprising the Front Office, Guest Services, Concierge, Housekeeping and The Ritz-Carlton Club teams, in addition to The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Engineering, and Loss Prevention departments.
He possesses more than 16 years of hospitality experience; 12 of which were spent holding key appointments in five Ritz-Carlton properties across three continents. His journey with The Ritz-Carlton brand commenced in 2004 with The Ritz-Carlton, Hotel Arts Barcelona and he most recently served as Hotel Manager at The Ritz-Carlton, San Juan before moving to Singapore.
Nicolas Bailet, Executive Assistant Manager for Food and Beverage joins The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore from the Bulgari Hotel London, where he has been the Director of Food & Beverage since 2013. In his new capacity, Bailet will oversee the Food and Beverage operations for Colony, Summer Pavilion, Chihuly Lounge, In-room Dining, Banqueting, Restaurant Reservations, and will lead the hotel’s Food and Beverage promotional strategies. Bailet has held operational and management positions in several Michelin-starred dining establishments under the Alain Ducasse Group in six different countries.
Alicia Lee, Director of Sales, will play an instrumental role in leading the sales strategies for the Business Travel, MICE and Catering departments within the Sales & Marketing Division. Prior to this promotion, Alicia was most recently the Director of Catering. Lee began her hospitality career with The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore in 1999 and has scaled the ranks across departments such as In-room Dining, Catering, MICE and Conference Services. After a brief stint at Mandarin Oriental Singapore and Conrad Centennial Singapore, she rejoined the hotel in 2008 as and has since been appointed to key sales positions including Associate Director of Conference Services and Associate Director of Sales – MICE.
Sharul Madi, Director of Sales – MICE, rejoins the hotel where he will be responsible for leading the MICE and Groups sales strategies. His hospitality career started at The Raffles Hotel in 2002 before he joined The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore’s Catering team in 2005. Between 2005 and 2013, Madi rose through the ranks and served as Associate Director of Sales for Business Travel and Regional Sales Manager before moving to The Westin Singapore as part of their pre-opening team to oversee Catering and Group Sales.
Aloysius Arlando, Chief Executive Officer of SingEx Holdings Pte Ltd (SingEx), has been elected to helm the Brussels-based Association Internationale des Palais de Congres (AIPC), while a majority stake in Worldex makes headway for China growth.(read more)
