Singapore – The newly unveiled HARMAN Customer Experience Centre in Singapore will allow customers to explore the latest innovations and learn how HARMAN technologies are being connected globally.
The Centre gives visitors insights into brands such as JBL, Crown, Soundcraft, Studer, AKG, Martin, AMX, BSS, dbx, Lexicon, and more. Developed around the theme of “Engineering a Connected Enterprise”, customers are invited to learn how the world’s foremost venues, theatres, commercial facilities and hospitality spaces use integrated HARMAN products and solutions. These include venues such as Marina Bay Sands Singapore, Queensland Convention Centre and the opening and closing ceremonies at the Shanghai Expo in 2010.
Speaking to Biz Events Asia, Ramesh Jayaraman, Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific, HARMAN Professional Solutions said that three separate business units – in audio, lighting and video and controls – across Singapore and Malaysia have now been consolidated centrally in the Singapore office. He added, “We co-located the team but we basically also built this experience to start showcasing what we bring to the table with our end-users and customers, so they could have a better picture of what we do.”
At the Customer Experience Centre, visitors will be able to explore a wide variety of solutions, test proof of concepts, consult with specialists and experience HARMAN technology in real-world scenarios. The centres will also host live product demonstrations, as well as special events.
Jayaraman added that event formats are fundamentally shifting with venues being increasingly flexible and rooms used interchangeably. “You can have a wedding at one end and a corporate presentation at the other end. The use of music and lights can help to set the mood of the event and increase efficiency and utilisation of venues,” he added.
Jayaraman was recently appointed as Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific, HARMAN Professional Solutions. In his new role, Jayaraman will be tasked with leveraging the strength of HARMAN’s iconic brands to drive growth throughout the region. By leading teams across HARMAN offices in Singapore, Japan, Korea and Australia, Jayaraman will bring the organisation closer to channel partners and end customers, and chart a course for further expansion in Asia Pacific territories.
